Bob Carmichael is a still shooter while also being an award winning director/cameraman with extensive experience in national commercial production, documentary production, corporate films and feature 2nd unit directing and cinematography.   Bob has both an Academy Award nomination and an Emmy Award for his work in documentary sports.

Carmichael has worked production stills on many of the videos for Maroon5.  Recently Carmichael Photography created an exciting and new video format for Maroon 5 documenting their Japan Tour. The technique is perfectly defined as new media. This technique involves capture via high end still photography, film editing with After Affects software and a graphic illustration overlay. The concept is called PhotoGRAPHCIvideo. This video debuted on the Amnesty International web site to raise funds and membership for Amnesty International.  In 2009- 2010 he was nominated 5 times by the International Master Cup Color Awards in London.  At the 2010 - 31st annual Telly Awards in Chicago, Carmichael won 7 Telly Awards under the category of online video for his video for the band Maroon 5 entitled STORY which employed the PhotoGRAPHICvideo technique again for the band Maroon5. This video debuted on the Harlem Children’s Zone web site and was subsequently released to all of M5’s social media outlets.  This technique involves capture via high end still photography, film editing with After Affects software and a graphic illustration overlay.
