CFVA Announces Board of Directors for the 2025–2026 Program Year
May 13, 2025 – Denver, CO – The Colorado Film & Video Association (CFVA) proudly announced its Board of Directors for the 2025–2026 program year. This accomplished group of professionals is dedicated to advancing Colorado’s film, television, and new media industries.
“The CFVA is built by and for members of Colorado’s film industry. Our mission is to cultivate a thriving, connected community that reflects that spirit,” said Noah Smith, CFVA President. “As new potential emerges across the state, we remain committed to serving, supporting, and uniting the storytellers who make Colorado’s film scene so dynamic.”
The new Board represents the depth and breadth of talent within Colorado’s creative community—ranging from award-winning filmmakers and producers to communication strategists and advocates for inclusion. The Board will focus on being a unifying voice for the industry statewide.
CFVA Board of Directors (2025–2026)
Noah Smith – President
Noah is a Denver-based filmmaker and the founder of InContrast Films. Having freelanced across Colorado over the past decade, Noah is deeply familiar with the Colorado film community. Noah is passionate about telling stories and uplifting others in the film scene, ultimately leading to his involvement in the Colorado Film and Video Association.Shawna Schultz – Vice President
An Emmy-winning director and co-founder of Mass FX Media and 38th & Post, Shawna leads a motion design and post-production team whose work has been featured on Netflix, HBO, Disney+, and Apple TV+.Brandon Naughton – Treasurer
A seasoned creative entrepreneur with over two decades in the industry, Brandon is the founder of Truce Media, a hub for independent film production and innovation.Jhonette Perdue – Vice Chair
With more than 15 years of experience in casting, acting, and production, JHonette also serves as Vice President of Women in Film and Media of Colorado. She is an advocate for inclusive storytelling and community engagement through film.Juliana Haley – Secretary
Based in Arvada, Juliana holds degrees in Creative Media and Film, and Strategic Communication. Her experience spans roles such as producer, director, and assistant director on short films and documentaries.Robbie Conaway – Board Member
Founder of Pop Art Films LLC, Robbie is an award-winning Creative Director with over 20 years of experience in film production, VFX, and social media advertising.Dannielle Stewart – Board Member
Dannielle is a communications strategist, writer, and video producer with a deep background in nonprofit and business storytelling. She currently serves as Director of Marketing at the Angel Capital Association and works as an independent video producer.Ben Krueger – Board Member
An award-winning creative producer, Ben has managed production on over 50 shows and three feature films. His portfolio includes work with high-profile industry figures and networks.Christine – Board Member
A lifelong performer and artist, Christine holds a BFA and MFA and served 12 years in the military. She is also a board member for environmental and social justice organizations and advocates for First Nations and marginalized voices in media.Shirl Garcia – Board Member
Shirl is a leader in emergency preparedness and inclusion. She serves on multiple advisory boards and is a certified CERT Instructor, Red Cross responder, and advocate for disability representation in film and media.Paul Pirkle – Board Member
Paul Pirkle is an independent filmmaker—writer, director, producer, and actor—dedicated to storytelling that explores our shared humanity.Tyler Schacht – Board Member
Tyler Schacht is an actor, director, producer, writer, and editor. He is the founder of Global Events and Technologies, Inc. Passionate about storytelling and creative collaboration, he aims to help grow and strengthen the Colorado film community.
