Inclusion & Accessibility

Everyone Has a Story. Everyone Has a Place.

At the Colorado Film and Video Association, we believe great stories happen when people come together. Our industry is built on collaboration, and every voice, every skill, and every perspective helps make Colorado's creative community stronger.

Whether you're just starting out, have spent decades in the industry, or support film and media in another way, you're part of what makes this community thrive.

CFVA exists to connect the people behind Colorado's film, television, digital media, and creative industries. We create opportunities to meet, learn, share ideas, and support one another because when our creative community succeeds, Colorado succeeds.

What Inclusion Means

Inclusion means intentionally creating opportunities for participation across the many communities that make up Colorado's creative economy.

We strive to:

  • Welcome professionals at every stage of their careers, from students and emerging creatives to experienced industry leaders.

  • Encourage collaboration across all areas of film, television, commercial, animation, gaming, virtual production, photography, digital media, and content creation.

  • Support independent artists, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, businesses, agencies, and production companies.

  • Foster respectful dialogue where diverse ideas and creative perspectives can be shared constructively.

  • Build partnerships that strengthen Colorado's creative ecosystem and expand opportunities throughout the state.

What Accessibility Means

Accessibility means working to reduce barriers so that more people can participate in our programs, events, educational opportunities, and professional network.

Whenever possible, we aim to:

  • Host events in accessible venues.

  • Provide clear event information in advance so attendees can plan accordingly.

  • Offer a variety of programming formats, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid events when feasible.

  • Keep membership and educational opportunities approachable for individuals and organizations of varying sizes.

  • Invite feedback from our community to improve accessibility over time.

Accessibility is an ongoing commitment. We recognize that needs evolve, and we will continue to evaluate how we can better serve Colorado's creative community.
