We are currently looking for amazing individuals to join our 2026-2027 CFVA Board. Please apply using the form below.

Do you want to be a voice for the Colorado film community? Submit your candidacy application for our volunteer board. The CFVA holds elections for its Board of Directors each March.

The CFVA board is composed entirely of volunteers, and board members volunteer both their time and expertise.

The following positions are currently open for the 2026-2027 fiscal year:

  1. Chair of Member Engagement. The Chair of Member Engagement shall recruit and retain individual members in accordance with the Board’s Annual Strategy. Additional duties for this role are provided in the Board-approved standard operating procedures (SOPs).




  2. Chair of Events. The Chair of Events shall lead the key events that the Corporation runs each year in accordance with the Board’s Annual Strategy. Additional duties for this role are provided in the Board-approved standard operating procedures (SOPs).




  3. Communications Coordinator. The Communications Coordinator shall support the Chair of Marketing, primarily managing the Corporation’s social media platforms. Additional duties for this role are provided in the Board-approved standard operating procedures (SOPs).




  4. Web Administrator. The Web Administrator shall support the Chair of Marketing by ensuring information presented on the Corporation’s website is current and correct. Additional duties for this role are provided in the Board-approved standard operating procedures (SOPs).




  5. Up to 2x Members-At-Large.  There shall be no more than two Member-At-Large at any one time on the Board. A Board Member-At-Large is a full Board member who doesn’t hold a defined position within the Board of Directors. They serve as a general board member without specific responsibilities and can participate in various board activities and decisions.




Being on the board is a commitment of 5-10 hours per month. Board members will be expected to attend 1-3 board and committee meetings and 1-2 CFVA events, such as schmoozers, networking events, workshops and panels per month.
